What is “cosmetic” and what is “reconstructive”?
A procedure is considered to be “cosmetic” when the patient chooses to enhance or change a part of the body that is functioning normally. In contrast, a “reconstructive” procedure is based on a medical need to correct a part of the body in order to restore normal function or appearance.

Is plastic surgery right for me?
Surgical procedures are the right solution in some cases and for some patients. In other situations, a non-surgical procedure could be the answer. Our goal is to help you enjoy who you see when you look in the mirror. Our aim is not necessarily to perform surgery on every patient, but rather to apply the right combination of our skills and services in each patient’s best interests.

We invite you to call 770-425-7575 to schedule a consultation with Dr. Yellin.

Is hair restoration right for me?
If you are concerned about hair loss on your scalp or face, then call 770-425-7575 to schedule a consultation with Dr. Anderson. Every patient is individually evaluated with a micro-hair analysis to determine the best course of action.

Dr. Anderson places special emphasis on individual personal evaluation and diagnosis before any treatment is recommended. This evaluation is comprehensive and includes a careful history of the hair loss, an overall inspection and a micro-analysis of the areas of loss as well as the other areas on the scalp.

What can cause hair loss?
Most patients present with typical patterned hair loss, both male-pattern and female-pattern.  Other causes of hair loss may include traumatic loss, such as hair loss in the sideburn area following a facelift, scars and trauma to the scalp or face, or from prolonged use of braids or a tight ponytail that may cause hair loss along the frontal hairline.  Dr. Anderson places special emphasis on individual personal evaluation and diagnosis before any treatment is recommended.

What do these procedures cost and will my insurance cover it?
For cosmetic procedures, your initial cosmetic consultation with Dr. Yellin carries a fee of $100. Your initial skincare consultation with Skyla Cox, our Medical Aesthetician, carries a fee of $50. A hair restoration consultation with Dr. Anderson is free of charge.

The cost of each procedure or treatment depends on a number of factors. The best way to determine the cost of the procedure is to visit us for a consultation. The fee for a consultation with Dr. Yellin will be applied to any procedure or treatment you receive from Dr. Yellin after your consultation.

Cosmetic procedures are generally not covered by insurance, but it’s worth checking with your insurance company to know for sure. Reconstructive procedures are usually covered by insurance. Please call our office at 770-425-7575 to learn more.

How long does it take to heal?
Even the most complex facelift procedures usually require just a few weeks of healing time before the patient is able to follow a normal daily routine as a new, more beautiful person. The best way to heal quickly and completely is to follow your doctor’s instructions. Make sure you ask questions if anything is not 100% clear.

Does it hurt?
Through a combination of anesthetics and sedation, we make sure our patients are safe and as comfortable as possible during each procedure. We also take great care to help each patient manage discomfort after the procedure.

Our team has the experience of performing thousands of cases, which means we have helped thousands of patients feel and look better as quickly and comfortably as possible after surgery and other procedures.

Some procedures are uncomfortable; however, most patients rate the discomfort they experience after surgery as being only a level 2 or 3 out of a possible 10. Many patients comment that they never even took one pain pill after surgery. Though this is a frequent comment, everyone’s experience is unique. So don’t worry, you will be provided with a prescription for medication that will keep you comfortable in the event that you need it.
