Skin cancer reconstruction is the artistic reestablishment or reconstruction of normal anatomy following a resection of skin cancers by Mohs technique. Dr. Yellin uses his extensive creative talents and judgment as a surgeon to develop a successful operative plan that may include a combination of therapies, including skin grafting, cartilage grafting, and skin flaps, both local (i.e., using nasal skin to close a hole) and regional (i.e., taking tissue from elsewhere, such as the cheek or forehead, and moving it to the nose).
