A Return Back

This past weekend, we had my sister-in-law and her family visit us for dinner. They live near Emory and we usually have Sunday dinners together. Since March, we have been socially distancing- and our dinners were among the many things the pandemic put on hold. On Sunday we hosted them outside on our deck, with the food divided up on separate tables. Sitting six feet apart, we visited. My sister-in-law is a lawyer who spends a great deal of her professional day on Zoom conferences. She told me that a recurring conversation amongst her colleagues is that they don’t think they look so good on the video conferences and would like to do a few things to improve their appearance. It struck me that we currently find ourselves covering our faces out of courtesy, protection and respect for our fellow citizens when out and about (Anthony Fauci, MD, recently said that these measures are helping reduce viral transmission) while showing our faces close-up in the virtual world. Now if that doesn’t feel like a sci-fi story I don’t know what does. But here we are.
Keeping with the virtual theme, I will complete my 5th and final webinar this Thursday discussing Rhinoplasty. The other topics covered were: the Injecta-Lift, CO2 Laser/Profound RF, Lower Face & Neck Lift/Direct Neck Lift and Eyelid/Brow Rejuvenation. They have been a smashing success; well attended, sophisticated post-lecture questions and thank you emails all confirm that my hours of lecture preparation were much appreciated. In the very near future, we will be hosting this virtual beauty webinar series on our private YouTube channel. So, if you missed a webinar topic but would like to watch it, just call the office and we will give you the link.
I feel very fortunate that our patients have returned and our business is brisk. If you are wanting a consult or treatment, know that we are practicing thoughtfully and safely. We are now back to full operation at both locations. Our Aestheticians and my Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant Aesthetic Injectors are all working regular hours. For those requiring general anesthesia, I am now performing all elective surgical procedures once again at Marietta Surgical Center (MSC) with one slight twist. If you are having Rhinoplasty, MSC is now requiring a Covid -19 test 3 days before surgery, which they are doing at their facility.
Remember that you can purchase all of your favorite skincare products from our on-line store, MariettaDermSkincare.com, and have them shipped to you, or come by our Marietta location for curbside pickup.
