Next week, Dr. Seth Yellin, founder and director of Marietta Facial Plastic Surgery & Aesthetics Center, will operate on a 12-year-old boy and change his life. The boy, who has very protruding ears, has spent his life hiding behind long, shaggy hair to avoid being teased and bullied. His first question to Dr. Yellin: “After this operation, can I wear my hair short?” Dr. Yellin’s reply: “Son, you’ll be able to wear your hair however you want!” Two hours in the O.R., and this boy’s view of himself will change forever. That’s huge.
