April Newsletter 2025

Apr 1, 2025

I just returned from a fantastic Multi-Specialty Aesthetics Conference (MAC) held in Hilton Head. I have attended many multi-specialty meetings over the years to take full advantage of the cross-pollination that naturally occurs among aesthetic experts from a variety of fields, including facial plastic surgery, general plastic surgery, oculo-plastic surgery, and cosmetic dermatology. Exchanging new ideas with colleagues who have different professional pedigrees and who often read different medical journals is a surefire way to pick up pearls of hard-earned wisdom. Lectures are the mainstay of these meetings; however, it is often at the faculty dinner that technical details are shared and invitations proffered to visit one another in the operating room to really understand new techniques.

This year was no exception. I was fortunate to be seated next to an LA dermatology colleague who is the world’s foremost authority on aesthetic light treatments. I enjoyed a delicious dinner while receiving an hour-long personalized master class on the outer perimeter potential of broad band light therapy (BBL), which our lead aesthetician Amy also discusses in this newsletter. With my newly acquired knowledge, expect to be hearing about exciting treatment opportunities with BBL in the near future. I will also be both sharing my knowledge with colleagues and learning from them on future trips both within our country and abroad. Stay tuned.

As many of you are aware, we have been in search of the right person to manage our practice since Nicola’s departure last month. I am pleased to report that we have found that special individual. I am thrilled to introduce Sarah Crichton as our new office manager. Sarah has a business degree from UGA and brings years of experience as an aesthetician, aesthetics team leader, and office manager overseeing a large aesthetics team, while also helping to open new aesthetics practices. She has already proven herself to be a thoughtful, energetic, and creative leader who the team has warmed to instantly. I am certain that she will help us continue to maintain the level of professionalism you have come to expect from our office while also introducing new ideas that are patient-focused, keeping our practice at the leading edge of aesthetics care.

We are also excited to welcome back one of our favorite former front desk staff members, Sarah Shoemaker, who left to pursue other opportunities, but has decided to rejoin the team. She is caring, capable, and kind and everyone in our practice is excited that she is returning.

Regarding our satellite location in West Cobb, we are in the process of hiring a fourth experienced medical aesthetician; however, until we do so we will maintain a modified schedule at this location. Stay tuned for details as this is an evolving situation.

Thank you for trusting us to keep you looking naturally more beautiful!

Glow & Rejuvenate: The Power of BBL for the Neck & C+ Correcting Complex 30%

Welcome to this edition of our skincare newsletter, where we spotlight the latest innovations for radiant, youthful skin!

BBL for the Neck: A Game-Changer in Rejuvenation

BroadBand Light (BBL) therapy is not just for the face—it’s now making waves as a powerful treatment for the neck! As one of the first areas to show signs of aging, the neck often develops sun damage, pigmentation, and loss of elasticity. BBL uses intense pulsed light (IPL) to stimulate collagen production, reduce redness, and even out skin tone, leaving your neck looking firmer and more youthful. With no downtime and noticeable results in just a few sessions, BBL is an excellent option for those looking to refresh their neckline.

C-Plus Complex: The Antioxidant Boost Your Skin Needs

Pairing BBL treatments with the right skincare can enhance and prolong results, and Revision Skincare’s C+ Correcting Complex 30% is a must-have. Packed with a potent 30% THD Ascorbate (the most stable and effective form of Vitamin C), this formula brightens, protects against environmental damage, and supports natural collagen production. It works wonders in improving skin tone, reducing fine lines, and enhancing the overall radiance of your skin—perfect for post-BBL care.

Ready to Elevate Your Skincare Routine?

If you’re looking to smooth and tighten your neck with BBL and supercharge your skin’s glow with C+ Correcting Complex 30%, try these treatments together for optimal rejuvenation. Book a consultation today, and let’s create a skincare plan tailored to your needs!

From the West Cobb Office

I would like to start this newsletter by thanking all of my lovely patients who have adjusted to the changes in my schedule these last few months. Having availability in both offices seems to be beneficial to those of you who travel to see me, and I am grateful to be able to reach more people! It’s always a pleasure to treat your beautiful faces in each location!

I want to talk to you about platelet-rich fibrin (PRF). I’ve gotten great results with PRF in my clinic, helping to slow the aging process. I’ve seen skin texture improvements, brightening, and overall better skin health from these treatments and believe most people can benefit from them. They are a good adjunct to filler to work on texture and crepey skin for those who aren’t ready for surgical options. These injections are also helpful for someone who is not ready for or not looking to have traditional HA filler. Whatever the reason may be, if you are interested in learning more about PRF, please schedule a consultation!

Skin health is always a big priority for my patients. Take advantage of this month’s specials to get your skin in tip-top condition!

Please schedule a consultation in either office to discuss!
