From The Corner Office
Marietta Facial Plastic Surgery, Laser & Aesthetics Center has been a busy and exciting place this summer. I’m thrilled to report that we were chosen by all who voted in this year’s bestself “Best of” contest as the “Best Non-Surgical Facial Rejuvenation Practice” in the greater Atlanta area. I view this honor as a testament to all of the hard work and dedication of my entire team as well as the success of the Injecta-Lift procedure I pioneered. Injecta-Lift is not an ordinary filler procedure. Instead, we place multiple hyaluronic acid fillers deeply on bone to reshape and rejuvenate the face with results that are instantaneous and long-lasting.
The bestself win also recognizes the many other non-surgical techniques we utilize to keep our patients looking and feeling their best, including CO2 laser skin resurfacing, laser treatments for unwanted skin redness, hyperpigmentation and melasma, radio frequency (RF) devices such as Profound, for face and neck tightening, and soon to include the latest RF technology Sylfirm X. All of these techniques are enhanced by professionally guided skincare such as, Moxi, BBL, Diamond Glow, Aquagold and therapeutic facials. Thank you for voting and thank you for your loyalty to our practice!
I just returned a week ago from a wonderfully informative retreat organized by Revisions Skincare for their top 50 practices nationwide. It was particularly interesting to meet other physicians from around the country, all of whom have built busy and successful practices, to share pearls of wisdom and hard-earned lessons. It was an information-packed weekend, held in Dallas, Texas, the home of Revisions.
This week I will be in San Diego, both lecturing and learning at the Multispecialty Aesthetic Conference, a national conference that draws many of the best and brightest in the field of facial aesthetic surgery. I always enjoy sharing my tips and techniques with colleagues. The sharing of information for the betterment of patients is both a professional obligation and a privilege. It is also a time to meet old friends and to make new ones. I hope to come back with new insights and ideas. Stay tuned for that.
Lastly, as someone who is a lifelong learner, YouTube seems to have been tailor-made for me. Whether I am learning music theory, new drumming techniques and ideas, Einstein’s theories of special and general relativity, how to make concrete and how it impacted our world from Roman times until today, how to improve my swimming or biking efficiency, the latest food advice for healthy living, or just following the adventures of two young women building a totally off-grid lifestyle in rural Canada, YouTube is my jam. With that said, it recently dawned on me that perhaps I can become a content creator, not simply a content consumer. This fall, I will be launching an educational YouTube channel that I am calling “Face the Facts with Dr. Yellin.” I will be interviewing aesthetic industry thought leaders, giving my personal take on new trends in facial aesthetics, debunking myths, sharing my knowledge, and hopefully keeping it interesting. I will let you know when the channel gets off the ground.
I know that school is back in session but the calendar still says summer. I hope that your summer is going well and that you are having fun in the sun…with sunblock and a hat!
