From the Corner Office
As I write this, my team members are exchanging Thanksgiving text messages that warm my heart. It is well recognized that many of us spend more waking hours with our co-workers than with our families, and there is nothing more rewarding than building a team of professionals who are not only great at what they do but are also kind, caring, and genuinely nice people. As we enter the holiday season, a time to reflect and appreciate life’s blessings, my staff and the patients we serve are at the forefront of my mind.
In appreciation of our patients, we are once again doing something fun and exciting for the Christmas and Chanukah holiday season. Some of you may recall that we have a “Savings Wheel” that our patients spin immediately prior to their injectable procedure with either Kelly Houmand, PA-C or me. This year, you have a chance of saving $75 off any one of the Juvederm products (which include SkinVive and the hyaluronic acid injectable fillers Vobella, Vollure, Voluma, Volux and Juvederm) as well as 5% or 10% discounts on the overall cost of the Botox and fillers you will be receiving that day. The wheel also includes an opportunity for you to win a SkinMedica holiday gift pack or another individual skincare product. Every spin is a winner. This was appreciated by our patients last year and was a fun way for us to say thanks for your loyalty to our practice. Our patients will have the opportunity to spin the “Savings Wheel” from December 6 until December 23, 2024. If you are feeling lucky and need our services, this would be a great time to schedule a visit with us. However, availability on our schedules is quite limited, so if you are considering a treatment, I would encourage you not to delay.
For many of the patients I see in consultation, it comes as a welcome surprise that I have so many surgical and non-surgical aesthetic tools at my disposal that are routinely performed in the office without the need for general anesthesia. Though I personally feel that general anesthesia is currently extremely safe and well-tolerated (and for many longer procedures absolutely necessary) many patients are anxious about being anesthetized. Some examples of procedures I routinely perform in the office without the need for general anesthesia include most eyelid rejuvenation surgical procedures, surgical and non-surgical neck rejuvenation, segmental CO2 laser skin resurfacing and/or the Injecta-Lift procedure which I developed to reshape and rejuvenate the face with results that are long-lasting and look beautifully natural. Our in-office procedure room costs are significantly less expensive than the outpatient surgical center’s fees and there is no anesthesiologist needed, resulting in significant cost savings. So, if you are wanting to look better and are also wanting to avoid general anesthesia or perhaps you have a medical condition that would prevent you from having general anesthesia for elective procedures, this information may be a game changer for you. If you would like to learn more, please call to schedule a consultation with me.
In closing, I want to wish all of you a Merry Christmas, Happy Chanukah, or simply Seasons Greetings from all of us at Marietta Facial Plastic Surgery, Laser & Aesthetics Center and to once again thank you for your loyalty, support, and patronage of our practice. We are both humbled and grateful that you entrust us with your care.

Acne can be a struggle for many people at different stages of life. Fortunately, there are many facial treatments and skincare products that can help improve breakouts. However, sometimes prescription medications may be advised to treat deeper, persistent, cystic acne. One such medication is Accutane. While it is a very effective treatment for stubborn acne, it can cause some uncomfortable side effects such as excessive dryness, chapped lips, sensitivity to sunlight, and reactions to harsh products.
To combat these harsh effects, we have curated a new skincare regimen, perfect for any patient currently taking Accutane or transitioning off of it. The kit includes a gentle pH-balancing cleanser, a ceramide cream to restore and replenish the skin’s barrier function, a lip balm to lock in more hydration, and a sunblock for sensitive skin to keep it protected from the sun. The full kit retails for $99.56.
If you are struggling with acne we have many solutions to help you achieve your skin goals and would love to set up a consultation with you to discuss the options we have to offer!

This year has brought about many changes and challenges within the field of aesthetics. However, throughout the 13 years I‘ve been injecting, my main goal has remained the same: I want to keep you looking and feeling your best while maintaining your individual features. Looking natural and injectables can go hand in hand when the tools are used properly. And I have quite a few tools in my pocket! I will continue to remain diligent in keeping up with the skills and knowledge that it takes to keep you all looking beautiful!
As we are quickly approaching the end of the year, I’d like to take the opportunity to thank all of you who have kept me so busy this year! As always, it is a pleasure to see you, treat you, and hear about what is going on in your lives. I hope you have a lovely holiday season with some rest and relaxation!
