From the Corner Office, May 2025

I have had the privilege of caring for many of my colleagues throughout my career. However, one of the most meaningful moments in a surgeon’s career is when a fellow physician—who is not just a colleague, but a peer from within your own specialty—trusts you with their care. I recently had the distinct honor of welcoming a fellow facial plastic surgeon to my practice. She traveled from out of state after attending my lectures at a national conference.

It’s always rewarding to share knowledge and experiences with other surgeons during these events, but to have someone take that learning one step further and entrust me with their own facial aesthetic journey is a powerful validation. This visit was a reminder of the deep trust that exists within our professional community—and the responsibility that comes with it.

Caring for another surgeon is both humbling and inspiring. It raises the bar, challenges your precision, and affirms the importance of continual learning and collaboration. I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to contribute to my colleague’s care and for the confidence she placed in my work.

Moments like these reinforce why I love what I do. They also speak to the importance of building relationships through education, honesty, and shared passion for excellence in our craft.

Thank you all for trusting me to keep you looking naturally more beautiful!

As we head into the warmer months, I want to highlight a treatment that has been truly life-changing for many of my patients: Botox for hyperhidrosis or excessive sweating. While it’s normal to sweat during exercise or on a hot day, those living with hyperhidrosis face constant challenges, ranging from damp clothing to the social anxiety that often comes with it.

The good news? Botox is an FDA-approved treatment for hyperhidrosis and can be highly effective in areas like the underarms and hands. It works by blocking the release of acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter that activates the sweat glands.

The procedure is quick; patients typically enjoy 4–6 months of significant relief.

If you are struggling with the daily frustrations of excessive sweating, you don’t have to suffer anymore.

May is Skin Cancer Awareness Month! To help spread the word and protect your skin, we’re offering 20% off all sunscreens all month long.

The sun is the number one external cause of skin aging and skin cancer. It damages collagen, causes dark spots, and contributes to broken blood vessels. We recommend using a broad-spectrum sunscreen with at least an SPF 30. Broad-spectrum sunscreens protect against both UVA and UVB rays. There are two types of sunscreens: mineral and chemical. Mineral sunscreens form a physical barrier on the skin that blocks UV rays. Chemical sunscreens work by absorbing UV rays before they can harm your skin.

I want to highlight one of my favorite sunscreens we carry. It’s called Intellishade by Revision Skincare. Intellishade is a hydrating moisturizer that contains sunscreen, antioxidants, and anti-aging peptides. This multitasking product does five essential things for your skin in the morning: corrects, protects, brightens, hydrates, and conceals. It comes in several variations, each with a different finish for different skin types.

Did you know you should apply sunscreen every two hours for it to be effective? Many women ask me how they can quickly reapply throughout the day without messing up their makeup. The Mineral Brush by Isdin is an excellent option. It’s a sheer mineral powder built into a brush that leaves you with a matte finish. It’s perfect in the hot Georgia summers because it won’t melt. We also have the Tone Smart Sunscreen Compact by Skin Better Science. This compact contains a tinted mineral cream that adapts to your skin tone. This is the perfect option when your makeup starts to wear off and you want additional daily coverage.

Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions about which sunscreen is right for you!

Why I love the Diamond Glow Facial

My name is Bharti, and I am the Front Office Coordinator at Marietta Facial Plastic Surgery, Laser, and Aesthetics Center. Over the past five years, one treatment has consistently remained my favorite: the Diamond Glow Facial.

The Diamond Glow Facial is an exceptional treatment that gently exfoliates, deeply hydrates, and infuses specialized serums into the skin. After the treatment, the skin feels softer and smoother and radiates a healthy, luminous glow. An additional benefit of the Diamond Glow Facial is that it enhances the absorption and effectiveness of your skincare products. When paired with a customized, medical-grade skincare regimen tailored to your skin type, the Diamond Glow Facial delivers remarkable results that can last throughout the month. I make it a point to schedule a Diamond Glow Facial once a month to keep my skin feeling refreshed, revitalized, and at its best.

Even more exciting, we are featuring a special combination treatment: the Diamond Glow Facial paired with a Dermaplane and an Illuminize Peel this month. This powerful trio offers a comprehensive skin rejuvenation experience, leaving your skin exceptionally soft while providing deeper exfoliation. It also helps to improve the appearance of fine lines, pigmentation, and enlarged pores, revealing a smoother, more radiant complexion.

Call us today to book your appointment and experience this month’s exclusive Diamond Glow Facial combination!
