Recently, I found myself in a rare moment of sitting still, staring at myself in front of a large mirror as I was getting a haircut. At first, I just closed my eyes and relaxed, not something that I do very often. As the haircut progressed, I found my mind wandering. I opened my eyes and stared at my face, methodically assessing its shape and contours, studying the differences between my left and right sides, assessing skin texture and coloring, etc. I was doing this at a distance that mimicked a social interaction, not a 10x mirror. I encourage all of you to do this periodically; a little personal aesthetic check-in. If something catches your eye and you think: “hey, I need to get that looked at” we can talk about it the next time we are together in the office.
We usually hold an event each Spring; however, this year we are simply too busy to accommodate the influx of new patients that these events generate. If you enjoy our in-person events, we will be hosting a fantastic, fun, and educational Fall event, so stay tuned.

One final personal note. It has been almost six years since I performed an Injecta-Lift procedure on my own face and I am still very pleased with the improvement, especially after reviewing my pre-treatment photos. Looking better makes me feel better! It’s a gift I can give myself.

It seems like this year I’ve been repeatedly saying “it’s a marathon not a sprint” to most of my patients. I wanted to expand on what I mean by this with regard to cosmetic treatments. As an injector and medical provider, it is my goal to be in the anti-aging process with you in the long run. When it comes to nonsurgical treatments-these are procedures that require maintenance to keep you looking your best. It’s my job to formulate a plan for you that gets you to your goals. And oftentimes this takes multiple visits spanning many months!
A consult is important so that we can formulate this plan together. As much as we all want a quick fix-it may take multiple modalities (such as laser treatments, peels, surgery, injectables, etc) To accomplish your goals. I will be the first to admit that when I want something done I want it done…yesterday! So we can work on this together. But know that my plan is in your best interest. As the cosmetic industry continues to grow we will also have new treatments that we may be able to utilize in different ways. There is always something new coming down the pipeline.
